Car collides with semi-truck

On Jan 10 a car collided with a semi-truck at the intersection of Tavern and Georgia roads in Burton. The car flipped over and the driver was transported to the University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, according to the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office.

No guns, alcohol for students

On Friday, a caller reported that a police officer in Munson Township was having a big party and there were people with guns, according to the report. The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office responded and spoke with the homeowner, who said that her husband is a police officer but the party was for high school kids, the report states. Police did not observe any alcohol at the party.

Intoxicated stranger enters home

On Jan. 11, an unknown male in his 20s entered a home on Rosetta Drive in Munson Township. He was intoxicated and bleeding from his hand when he was found lying on the living room floor, according to the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office. The residents did not want to pursue charges and he was transported to the University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, the report states.

Police respond to domestic violence

On Jan. 12, the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Newbury Township for a domestic violence report. An 18-year-old male with developmental issues attacked his peers, according to the report. He was slamming his head on the floor and was transported to the University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, the report states.

Warrant served

On Jan. 9 Brecksville police advised that they had Jaqwane Johnson, 24, of Warren at their station, who had a warrant with the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office for heroin trafficking, according to the report. Mr. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office jail, the report states.
