Geauga Park District Executive Director John Oros said this week that Geauga County is entirely in the Lake Erie watershed and does not connect to the Ohio River watershed, wherein East Palestine, the site of the recent toxic train derailment, is located.
Mr. Oros answered Commissioner Ray Guarino when he asked at the park board’s Monday meeting if the park district will check the water for contamination.
