KMS Students of the Month

Kenston Middle School recently announced its Students of the Month for December. They were sixth graders, Maylin Bryan, Noah Butler, Jonathan (JJ) Somich and Lyla Taylor; seventh graders, Emma Chelbezan, Eleana DeWitt, Jacob Jerina and Brayden Watson; and eighth graders, Sidney Bakar, Daunte’via (Tay) Cable, Shauna Doran and Grace Leygraaf.

KMS Encore Student of the Quarter

Kenston Middle School recently recognized its Students of the Quarter by their encore teachers: art, music, physical education and foreign language. They are sixth graders; Charles Linck and Ava Moores; seventh graders, Luke Jewell and Payton Timmons and eighth graders, Grace Gettig and Ryan Menary.

Speech and Debate Update 

Congratulations to Nathan Rolf, who was the Tournament Champion in Big Questions Debate at the Kenston Speech and Debate Tournament. Also placing for KHS were Micah Greenberg, 5th in Program Oral Interpretation; and Hayley and Hannah Sharp, 6th in Duo Interpretation. Competing in their first tournament were Connie Ragsdale and Cailey Rogers from KHS. Kenston placed 4th out of 26 high school teams at its home tournament. Placing for KMS against 10 middle school teams were Marin Carlson, 3rd in Declamation; Madelyn Foerster, 5th in Oratory; and Grace Voudris, 5th in Extemporaneous Debate. Also, congrats to Audrey Earl and William Thompson, who each won three of their four debates. Competing in their first tournaments were Graham Christopher, Thomas Dooley, Colin Haky, Austin Hoch, and Christian Hoffman-Konst from KMS.
