Geauga County Commissioners recently authorized the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office to create a deputy position for security purposes at the front desk of the Geauga County office building on Ravenwood Drive in Claridon, which opened this past June.

For the position, commissioners approved a yearly expense not to exceed $150,000 which will fund one deputy and one part-time deputy to work no more than a 50-hour week, Chief Deputy Tom Rowan said.
