Students win video contest
Kenston High School students Micah Greenberg, Andrew Weaver and Myles Irvin received first place honors for their submission “Kenston Culinary Creation” in the Ohio School Board Association (OSBA) annual “Stand Up for Public Schools” video contest.
Schools were asked to submit 90-second videos showing how their public district or school building is making an impact on students’ lives and future successes. A panel of professionals judged more than 75 other videos from districts across the state and scored Kenston’s video the highest on the rubric evaluation.
The district commends Ryan Novak for his curriculum leadership in the Digital Media/Communications class, supporting student engagement with these types of student-led projects and assignments. The video can be viewed at www.kenstonlocal.org.
