Grave markers

New markers, as the one on the left, are being placed on grave sites in Bainbridge Township’s Restland Cemetary designating those who served on the township fire department. The red and silver markers, left, are replacing the old bronze markers, right, some of which have gone missing.

Those who served on the Bainbridge Fire Department and who are buried in the township’s Restland Cemetery are being honored with new grave markers at their resting places. Those who visit the cemetery will be reminded of their dedication to the community.

They have always been recognized for their service, but now the markers are new and a few who were buried without a marker in the past will also now have one, according to Administrative Assistant Prudy MacKenzie.
