National Merit scholars

Seniors Laura Parsons and Aubrey Taylor entered into the National Merit competition of semifinalists.

Each year the National Merit Scholarship Corporation conducts a scholarship program intended to encourage and recognize academic excellence. Students enter the program by taking the PSAT in their junior year in October. More than 22,000 high schools across the nation administer the test annually with more than 1.6 million juniors taking the test.

Math teacher honored

Kenston Middle School eighth grade math and accelerated algebra teacher, Kori Krill, has been recognized by the Ohio Council of Teacher of Mathematics with the Linda M. Gojak Outstanding Middle School Classroom Teacher Award.

National Honor Society inductees

Kenston High School had 32 students who were recently inducted into the National Honor Society. Each student had to demonstrate the qualities of scholarship, character, leadership and service.
