Rally for Justice hosted a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest in Chagrin Falls on Sunday, which drew around 50 participants, according to Police Chief Amber Dacek. The hour-long rally at Riverside Park included several speakers, such as the Rev. Morris Eason. Young and older community members participated with signs that said, “Skin color is not a crime” and “White silence is white violence.” Chief Dacek said that the event was not planned in coordination with the police, but officers found out about the event and spoke to the organizers. There were no disturbances during the event, she said.
