First Friday begins

Imagery Fine Arts Gallery, 91 N. Main St. in Chagrin Falls, begins its First Friday 2019 series with the work of Mary Robbins-Underwood, 5-8 p.m. on Friday. The show starts with an opening night artist’s reception to meet the artist who works in watercolor, oil and chalk pastels. Ms. Robbins-Underwood’s work will be on display 10 a.m.to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays throughout February.

Meet the artists

The Geauga Park District’s discARTed Recycled Art Exhibition will hold a meet the artists reception, 2-4 p.m. on Feb. 17 at West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell. Jam session upcoming

Join benefit choir

The Geauga Hunger Task Force Good Tidings Benefit Choir is seeking singers high school age and above. Students will receive community service hours. Bring a copy of the Messiah, or purchase one for $8 at the practice. Practices are held 2-4 p.m. on Sundays at Notre Dame Chapel, 13000 Auburn Center Road in Munson, starting Feb. 24 and continue through the performances on April 7 and 14. Soloists are chosen from the choir members through audition.

Quilt guild displays work

The Chagrin Valley Quilt Guild will display their quilts at the Chagrin Falls Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, 100 E. Orange St. in Chagrin Falls, in February during library hours. For more information, call 440-247-3556.

LaureLive announces lineup

Laurel School and Elevation Group last week announced the full lineup for the fourth annual LaureLive music festival set for the weekend of June 8-9, with Hozier headlining Saturday and Sheryl Crow headlining Sunday. Jazz, improv performed

Chagrin Arts offers The Music of Amanda Powell and Friends at 4 p.m. on March 10 at Chagrin Falls United Methodist Church, 20 S. Franklin St. in Chagrin Falls. The musicians will perform jazz and improvisation from around the world. Cost is $5 for students 25 years old and younger, $24 for general seating and $32 for preferred seating. Valentines concert upcoming
