Students pen pals with Uganda

Students at Berkshire Jr./Sr. High School engaged in global correspondence with a similar grouping of students at a secondary school in Uganda in Africa. Inspired by the summer reading assignment, “I Will Always Write Back,” by Caitlin Alifirenka, Liz Welch and Martin Ganda, Berkshire students were given the year-long assignment to research Uganda and then write a pen pal letter to an assigned student. Recently, students received returned correspondence from their global friends prompting a great deal of excitement.
