Athletic, ticket protocol in place

Kenston High School will continue to sell home athletic event tickets exclusively online through HomeTown Ticketing. A link to access online tickets is available on the district website, kenstonlocal.org. Admission will be charged for varsity football, all soccer and all volleyball events.

The district will not issue season passes for the foreseeable future. Senior citizens and children 5 years old and younger will receive complimentary admission.

For each of the home volleyball events this fall, Kenston will require non-competitors to have face coverings. Masks are not required outdoors for students, staff, visitors or athletic spectators.

Though this is subject to change, the district is not limiting attendance at their home sporting events. Live streaming of their sporting events will only be made available if attendance restrictions are imposed.

Lunch menus available online

The school lunch menus for all Kenston schools are available on the district website, kenstonlocal.org. In addition to menus, information is available about the free and reduced lunch program, nutrition and paying for school lunches.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, or USDA, has announced an extension to its free meals program for all students for the 2021-2022 school year. The program is offered at no cost to the district.

Student accounts will not be charged for any lunch meals that meet the regular meal criteria set forth by the USDA. All students can receive lunch daily at no cost. A la carte purchases will be charged as usual.

Gold cards available

All residents of Bainbridge and Auburn who are 60 years of age or older may obtain a free, lifetime “gold card,” which will admit them free of charge to any school sponsored event in which students participate, including home athletic events, musical and dramatic performances. Gold cards are not valid when an event is sponsored by an organization other than the schools (PTO, Booster groups, etc.) as a fundraiser. Cards cannot be used for athletic events such as conference, regional or state play-offs. Gold card membership can be obtained at the Kenston Board Office, 17419 Snyder Road in Bainbridge.
