Orange back on campus

Orange City School District students returned to campus on Nov. 2 as the hybrid plan went into effect. This was the students’ first return to on-campus classes since the March 2020 pandemic closure began. Moreland Hills Elementary School and Brady Middle School students who chose to return to campus through the hybrid-learning program arrived in two cohorts, morning or afternoon, depending on where they live within the district. Students in the hybrid plan at Orange High School began in full-day, weekly cohorts, also determined by housing location. Students were welcomed back to campus by teachers and staff with signs and spirited “air hugs” while practicing social distancing, wearing masks and using hand sanitizing protocols in place.

Conferences upcoming

There will be no school for the Orange City School District on Nov. 23-27 for parent/teacher conferences and Thanksgiving. Conferences are scheduled on Nov. 23 and 24.
