Preschool celebrates Class of 2034
The Orange High School Class of 2034 graduated from the Orange Inclusive Preschool at a ceremony held on May 27. This event for these kindergarten-bound students included an orchestra, diplomas, an ice cream truck and young graduates decked out in caps and orange gowns.
Juniors recognized at state contest
Orange High School juniors Jonathan Coluby and Lawrence Huston both earned bronze medals in the Additive Manufacturing contest during the SkillsUSA Ohio State Championships held virtually during the months of March and April. Contestants were given 17 days to develop a working prototype for a hinged, wall-mounted USB outlet cover that would 3D print as one object. Both students are a part of the Excel TECC CADD Engineering Technologies program.
Home COVID-19 tests available
Home COVID-19 tests are available to families of the Orange City School District at no cost. If you or a family member are having COVID-19-like symptoms, contact the school nurse at 216-831-8600 to arrange to receive a free test.
Teacher named to state panel
Orange High School teacher Ship Collins was selected recently to serve on the “Task Force for Best Academic and Non-Academic Practice for Black Students.” This task force was formed by the Ohio Department of Education in its continuing efforts to be honest and transparent in recognizing the need for improvement in achieving greater equity in the state’s education system.
