Upcycle holiday cards
Reuse holiday cards while making new ones with the Geauga Park District for their “Greeting Card Upcycle” workshop on Nov. 10 from 6-8 p.m. at the West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell.
Artist Brigitte Fiorille from the Fairmount Center for the Arts will guide the workshop. Registration is limited to allow for social distancing, and face coverings are required.

Learn Geauga fair history
Geauga County Genealogical Society will host a virtual meeting from 7-9 p.m. Nov. 10. Paul Harris, secretary of the Great Geauga County Fair, will present “History of the Great Geauga County Fair” via Zoom, following a brief meeting. Registration is required at www.gcgsoh.org.
‘Sip & Shop’ the valley
Join the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce and local shops for “Sip & Shop in Downtown Chagrin Falls” on Nov. 14 from 5-8 p.m. Cost is $20 per shopper and includes a Chagrin Falls wine glass, a wristband, a free appetizer card and a canvas shopping bag. Register at the Chagrin Falls Township Hall from 4:30-5 p.m. Get a map stamped by participating shops to be entered to win prizes, including a $100 shopping spree. Learn to build leadership
Join the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce for a Master Class Workshop on Nov. 18 with former Starbucks CEO Howard Shultz on business leadership. Run a virtual turkey trot
The Chagrin Falls Booster Club is presenting a virtual turkey trot to support the club and schools. Sign up for the virtual 3.1-mile run at chagrin
turkeytrot.com, then run, walk or bike at any time at any location through Nov. 28. Participants are encouraged to submit photos and results online. Cost is $20 per person and includes a long-sleeved T-shirt for the first 500 registrants. Information on shirt pick-up available upon registration.
Find winter birds
Join the Geauga Park District for “Birding for Beginners” to practice identifying winter birds at their feeders, followed by a walk along Discovery Trail in search of birds from 9-11 a.m. Dec. 19 at West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell.
