Gilmour students display art

Students of Gilmour Academy will exhibit their work at the Gates Mills Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library at 1491 Chagrin River Road throughout March and April during library hours. A free art reception will be held tonight (Thursday) from 6:30-8 p.m. to welcome the students and give them a chance to discuss their work. Teens create custom stickers

Teens in grades six through 12 are invited to the Chagrin Falls Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library at 100 E. Orange St. on March 7 from 2-3 p.m. to use their Cricut machine to create stickers to keep. Registration is requested for this free program by calling 440-247-3556.

A preschooler can improve their transition into their first year of school by building self-awareness skills and establishing positive routines. Techie Teens build circuits

Learning open house upcoming

The Notre Dame Elementary School Annual Learning Fair Open House will be held on March 25 from 6-8 p.m. Attendees can discover the academic programs through the work and accomplishments of each NDES student from preschool through eighth grade. The evening will also feature an art show and pre-kindergarten poetry recital. Students, parents, teachers, administrators and alumni will share the spirit and energy that embody Notre Dame Elementary School. Register for Tulips and Juleps

The Lion’s Mane Event: Tulips and Juleps, the signature gala for Notre Dame Elementary School and Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School, will take place on March 28. The event includes live and silent auctions, games, raffles and food and drink to raise money for Catholic education on their campus. Learning about business program

Sophomores and juniors interested in a business career may now apply for Lake Erie College’s innovative Learning About Business (LAB) program. The week-long program provides a mini-MBA experience by using a hands-on curriculum that includes interactive business simulations and networking opportunities. Wrestlers wrangle at tournament

Notre Dame Elementary School fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade wrestlers competed at the Ohio Youth Wrestling Association Sectional Tournament on Feb. 9. Gabe Haberman, Collin O’Brien and William Erjavec all wrestled and were each one match away from qualifying for the OYWA District Tournament. Danny Sizler took third at sectionals and was able to represent the Lions at districts on Feb. 16. At districts, Danny pinned three opponents.

Students visit sports commission

Notre Dame Elementary School sixth grade challenge students took a field trip to the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission last month to tour the facility and present their plan for bringing a new sporting event to Cleveland.
