Learn how to create a safe work environment at the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Violence and Fire Safety training in the Work Place Lunch and Learn event with representatives from Orange Village Police and Fire Departments, May 17 at 11:30 a.m. at Orange Village Hall, 4400 Lander Road. Electronics recycling day
Federated Church, 76 Bell St. in Chagrin Falls, is hosting a collection for electronics to be recycled on May 18 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the church parking lot. Remember the ‘70s skate
Gliding Stars of Northeast Ohio presents “Remember the ‘70s,” May 19 at 11:30 a.m. at The Pond Ice Arena, 9999 E. Washington St. in Auburn. Local volunteers help skaters of all ages and disabilities ice skate to popular 70’s music. Tickets are $10. For more information, call 440-477-3839.
Orange hosts funding forum
An Ohio Fair School Funding Forum will be held in the Orange High School Auditorium, 32000 Chagrin Blvd. in Pepper Pike, at 7 p.m. on May 20. The plan overview will be given by Kevin Lillie, task force member and treasurer of Geneva Area City Schools. Orange Superintendent Lynn Campbell and Treasurer Todd Puster will introduce everyone, and legislator comments will be shared by state Reps. Juanita Brent, D-Cleveland, and Phil Robinson, D-Solon. A community dialog and questions with audience members will follow.
