CVLT presents Carousel

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, 40 River St. in Chagrin Falls, hits the Main Stage with “Carousel” by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Performances are on Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Hermit Club, 1629 Dodge Court, Cleveland. The performance will hit Chagrin Falls Oct. 15 and Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 17 at 2 p.m.

The story revolves around carousel barker Billy Bigelow, whose romance with millworker Julie Jordan comes at the price of both their jobs. He participates in a robbery to provide for Julie and their unborn child; after it goes tragically wrong, he is given a chance to make things right.

Tickets are $35 at the Hermit Club for general admission. Tickets for regular admission at the Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is $25 for general admission and $15 for seniors/students. Capacity is limited to assure social distancing and all seating is general admission. Burton art show

The 38th Annual Burton Art Show features the work of artists from Geauga, Lake and Portage Counties.The event takes place through Oct.9 on the second floor of the Burton Public Library at 14588 West Park St. in Burton. The gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, where visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite art piece for the Popular Choice Award.
