Support the arts with a raffle

Enter “Arts With a Purpose Chagrin Arts Spring Raffle” and choose from nine prizes that will be available to winners before Mother’s Day. Chagrin Arts has a goal of $3,500, and proceeds from this raffle will support a variety of summer outdoor programs in the park, which includes: the annual Shakespeare production; new summer gallery experiences; concerts, including the world-acclaimed Callisto Quartet, jazz and gospel; and more. Art center launches ‘Fairmount 500’

Fairmount Center for the Arts launched their “Fairmount 500” fundraiser that will provide the opportunity for an individual to win $15,000. Only 500 tickets are available through Aug. 25 at midnight or until tickets are sold out. Runners-up prizes are $2,000 and $1,000.

The drawing will take place on Aug. 26 during the culminating reception of the 45th Annual Fairmount Art Exhibition, which is free and open to the public. The drawing of the winning ticket will also be live-streamed. The winner need not be present to receive their prize.

Join OAC workshops, employment

The Orange Art Center is offering upcoming Sunday Funday workshops on April 4, including Stamped Ceramic Coasters, from 10 a.m. to noon in Studio 3, and Intro to Printmaking, from 10 a.m. to noon in Studio 2, both for $25. Spring registration is also still available for several classes, including ceramic fundamentals, drawing and painting for beginners, water and oil painting, watercolor basics, wheel throwing for beginners and more. Classes run April 12 through May 20. OAC also has several opportunities to get involved, seeking to fill the position of an OAC assistant, camp counselor, an art cart instructor, a visual arts education intern and artist instructors.
