The Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 2020 Annual Awards slated for tonight (March 12) has been postponed with growing concerns of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The chamber board of directors discussed and voted to postpone tonight’s “star-studded” event this morning. The rescheduled date has yet to be determined.
“This was a very difficult decision that our board did not take lightly,” Executive Director Molly Gebler said in an email to the Times. “We will keep an eye on the situation and reschedule it as soon as it is appropriate. At that time, if the rescheduled date does not fit your schedule, we will take requests for refunds.”
She added that she hoped for the public to “hang in there with us and be flexible” as the situation concerning the awards and the virus evolves.
