Fairmount receives reserve grant

Fairmount Center for the Arts, 8400 Fairmount Road in Russell, received a grant from the Western Reserve Junior Service League that they used to purchase freestanding ballet barres, which will be used by students enrolled in Fairmount’s growing dance program.

Fairmount’s dance curriculum develops dancers from ages 3 to adult, offering instruction in a nurturing, non-competitive environment. Classes include ballet, hip-hop, jazz, modern/contemporary and tap. Many faculty members are professional dancers and perform with Cleveland’s Verb Ballets, which formed a partnership with Fairmount in 2016. In addition to dance classes, Fairmount offers an ensemble experience for students whose passion is dance. The Fairmount Dance Company performs locally for educational and entertainment purposes.

For more information and to register for fall classes and programs (beginning Oct. 26), visit www.fairmountcenter.org or call 440-338-3171.
