Shakespeare at Curtain 440
Curtain 440’s upcoming production of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” directed by Angela Miloro-Hansen, aims to change people’s mind that Shakespeare is wordy and highbrow. The play will run June 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. and June 16 at 2 p.m. at Newbury High School Auditorium, 14775 Auburn Road in Newbury Township. Tickets are $8 and $10 and will be available at the door or online at www.curtain440.com. Seating is general admission. The production is presented in partnership between Curtain 440 and Newbury Local Schools.
GANG welcomes Geauga poet
The Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) is pleased to welcome Patrick Culliton to its June meeting. He will be discussing his literary journey and presenting excerpts from his published works, including his recent book, “Sam’s Teeth.” A Cleveland native, Mr. Culliton draws on life in America’s rust belt to present an eccentric collection in which he experiments with rhyme and colloquialism. This program, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Heinen’s Café, 402 Center St. in Chardon, on June 18 from 6:30-8 p.m. Audience participation is welcome.
