West G provides virtual tours

West Geauga Local Schools have created virtual tours of each of the school buildings in the district. These videos are accessible through the district website at www.westg.org. They are located under the “COVID-19” and “Parent” tabs on the district’s home page. The district also emailed links of the videos to all parents of students in the school system. The videos will be sent to the families of students in the Newbury Local School District.

Senior wins NACD poster contest

West Geauga High School senior Kaden Knake won the 2019 Poster Contest from the National Association of Conservation

Districts.

The NACD, in partnership with the NACD Auxiliary, announced the winners of the 2019 Poster Contest during the 74th NACD Annual Meeting in Las Vegas. Kaden took first place with her poster.

Every year in celebration of Stewardship Week, the Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District sponsors a poster contest. Corresponding with Stewardship Week, the poster contest theme in 2019 was “Life in the Soil: Dig Deeper.”

The Geauga SWCD received numerous entries this year. The first-place winners of each category moved on to the state competition where they had a chance to move on to the national competition, and that’s just what Kaden Knake did. She placed first at all levels, representing Ohio with her first place win.
