Two charged with assault
An assault was reported in Solon June 4.
At 9:23 p.m., Solon police responded to Rollhouse Entertainment, 33185 Bainbridge Road, for a report that an assault occurred on the bowling lanes. A party of people included a female who laid down on the ground, and a male then behaved inappropriately, police said.
The man was asked to leave, and a female then assaulted a manager and another female in the group assaulted another employee, the report states. There were punches thrown and one employee was pushed into a rack of bowling balls, according to the report.
Ashley Hill, 28, of Cleveland and LaDantia Hill, 27, of Shaker Heights were charged with assault. The victims were a 25-year-old Cleveland woman and an 18-year-old South Euclid woman.
Woman charged with OVI
A Solon woman was charged with drunken driving June 7.
At 10:11 p.m., Solon police stopped a car on SOM Center Road which came to an abrupt stop. The driver had an odor of alcohol and field sobriety tests indicated impairment, police said.
At the station, the driver submitted to a breath test which registered a 0.098 BAC. Diane Johnson, 60, was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC and impeding traffic.
Man cited for concealed weapon
Solon police charged a Brooklyn man with carrying a concealed weapon June 6. At 2:17 p.m., police responded to the PDI Group, 6225 Cochran Road, where a male had been terminated from his job. He was found to be carrying a knife, police said. Shawn Toney, 23, was cited with carrying a concealed weapon, police said.
Store reports break-in
Detectives are investigating a breaking and entering June 7 in Solon. At 3:26 a.m., Solon police responded to Dodd Camera after the store’s alarm went off. The front door glass was smashed and items were removed, the report states. The store is working on compiling a list of stolen items, police said. There were no security cameras and detectives are investigating.
Man charged with OVI
A Maple Heights man was charged with drunken driving June 8.
At 1:37 a.m., Solon police observed a car on Aurora Road commit several traffic violations. There was an odor of alcohol and burnt marijuana, police said. Field sobriety tests indicated impairment and at the station, the driver submitted to a breath test which registered a 0.171 BAC. There was also an open container and marijuana found in the vehicle, the report states.
Dwayne Garrison, 37, was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, marked lanes, drug abuse and open container, police said.
Driver charged with physical control
An Auburn man was charged with physical control June 8.
At 3:02 a.m., Solon police responded to the Annex Bar, 36200 Pettibone Road, where a male was sitting in his vehicle asleep behind the wheel with keys in his ignition, the report states. There was a strong odor of alcohol and field sobriety indicated impairment, police said. He refused a breath test, and Paul Lyons, 35, was charged with physical control in the incident, the report states.
Two charged after traffic stop
A duo was charged following a June 9 traffic stop in Solon.
At 10:12 a.m., Solon police made a stop on Aurora Road for window tint in violation of state law. The passenger had an order of protection from the driver. The driver, Andre Mitchell, 22, of Cleveland, was arrested for the violation of the order, drug abuse and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, police said.
Jameelah Ramos, 21, of Maple Heights, the passenger, was charged with improper handling of firearm in a motor vehicle passenger, the report states. Adderall pills were also found in the car as was a powdery substance suspected to be Carfentanyl, police said. The drugs are being tested, according to the report.
Driver charged with OVI
A Rittman man was charged with drunken driving June 10.
At 4:55 p.m., Solon police responded to Aurora Road for the report of a possible intoxicated driver. Beer bottles were found on the floor, there was a moderate odor of alcohol and field sobriety tests indicated impairment, police said.
The driver submitted to a breath test which registered a 0.280 percent BAC, police said. Justin Gulley, 33, was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, open container and drug paraphernalia, according to the report.
Man cited for underage possession
A Pepper Pike man was charged with underage consumption of alcohol June 10.
At 9:43 p.m., Solon police observed what appeared to be an underage person leaving the 7-Eleven with alcohol and getting in a car. Police made the stop on Aurora Road and found the alcohol that was purchased, and there was also marijuana and a smoking pipe, the report states.
Nicholas Began, 19, was cited for underage possession of alcohol, misrepresentation by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
