Liars are welcome in GOP
Bravo for Joseph Murphy’s recent letter “Criteria for competence.” This should be a must read for all voters.

Liars are welcome in GOP
Bravo for Joseph Murphy’s recent letter “Criteria for competence.” This should be a must read for all voters.
After Kevin McCarthy welcomed expansive liar George Santo into the U.S. House of Representatives, it’s easy to see why so many in his own party did not want him to be Speaker of the House. Rep. McCarthy has displayed a complete disregard for honesty, integrity and leadership. Has the GOP become the party notable for “liars are welcome?”

Don’t like it, don’t read it
Recently The Times printed a letter from a reader who complained about the guest columns by Dave Lange. My advice to Mr. Hammonds is – you don’t have to read them. Don’t even look for them. Keep your cool and just enjoy the rest of the newspaper.
As a long-time subscriber, I happen to like Mr. Lange’s columns. They are well written, insightful and to the point on many and various topics, such as this week’s column on green energy, fossil fuel pollution and political corruption. Yes, Virginia, some politicians love gifts of money – big gifts of money! – and lobbyists love to give it to them! So what if it’s not in the public’s, the taxpayers’ or our planet’s interests. Just send the money!!!
I’m sure there are many other readers who also like Mr. Lange’s columns so keep on writing “the facts” Dave, exposing those corrupt politicians, and keep on printing, local papers. We need you!

Tired of corrupt politicians
Kudos to CVT Guest Columnist Dave Lange for his truthful and insightful no-holds-barred column about the Scum of the Earth tribe of corrupt politicians and greedy special interest groups that run Ohio now. The politicians continue to grab the interest groups’ donations while they sell out Ohio citizens and taxpayers.
Our state politicians’ shameless corruption and efforts to ravage Ohio’s natural resources continues by blocking attempts to develop effective green energy projects. We should all be furious about this.

Such a joy
In town when a little gray dog runs happily to greet someone, you just know that this person is special! Such is the case when my dog, Joy, sees Rob Arnold!
Last week in The Times, Sue Reid captured the true essence of Rob Arnold’s sincere, compassionate and kind persona in the way he carries out his duties as the sexton for Evergreen Hill Cemetery. Rob is truly an asset to the Village.
And, Joy is right. He is special!
