We are noticing increased traffic on the secondary streets of Solon. We suspect that drivers are avoiding the main thoroughfares of SOM, Aurora and even Solon roads that have been under construction this summer.

Roads are torn up, and although metal plates have been put on the streets when crews are not working, cars continue to negotiate bump after bump and what feel like cavernous holes. Just last week, lanes on both sides of SOM between Bainbridge Road and the Route 422 ramp were closed, forcing single lanes during the slow crawl to the highway entrance ramp.

We said it before and we feel a need to say it again, do something.
