I am writing this letter in response to a guest column by Phil Paradise, Jr. entitled “Shame on the Democrats” in the Aug. 25 edition of this newspaper.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has not admitted to any wrongdoing in connection with the First Energy bribery case that is going to trial in January. Two of the three defendants have already pleaded guilty.
Shame on the Republican Party, especially those in the House of Representatives from Speaker Kevin McCarthy on down, for its reckless, dangerous condemnation of the Justice Department and the FBI after the search for classified documents at former President Trump’s winter residence, Mar-a-Lago.
